Who we are
Salina Irish Road Bowling is organized by planning group of local volunteers and follows a successful model established by the Johnson County Kansas Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH). The Fr. Bernard Donnelly Division of the AOH in Johnson County has organized a prolific IRB tournament since 2014 that regularly draws over 70 teams each Spring and Fall. Using the Donnelly Division of the AOH’s successful format and high-spirited fun activity the Salina group hopes to mirror this outcome and bring a new fundraiser to the middle of Kansas.
Irish Road Bowling was introduced to Kansas by the Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, who holds a tournament each March at Clinton Lake State Park in Douglas County. It is a growing sport among the Irish American community from coast to coast. Plans are a successful event in Salina may lead to other parts of the state and
